Server spam attack – RESOLVED
March 20, 2008 – 2:30 amOne of our web servers was bombarded with spam for 4 days last week, and the server went over quota each day for its outgoing messages as a result of it. The main side-effect is that outgoing email was delayed on Thursday and Friday last week. We got the issue back under control as of Friday night. Thank your for your patience as this is the second major attack the server has endured in the past 3 months. The good news is that we came up with an approach that should better fight off future attacks of this nature, and it has been applied to server-wide email settings.
